Iran’s burgeoning aspiration for Uranium Enrichment

The reports on Iran this year has come with a triggering scrutiny by International Atomic Energy Agency, a nuclear watchdog of United Nations. According to IAEA, Iran has taken the plunge of uranium enrichment with a second type of advanced centrifuge at its subterranean in one of its nuclear block which is in Natanz Plant. IAEA concomitantly censure Iran for its latest nuclear development and also blamed the country for breach of Tehran’s deal with west.
Iran has vigorously increased number of IR-2M machines, a better updating version of IR-1 machines used by Iran previously. The IR-2M machines are said to 4 times more efficient in producing enriched uranium than IR-1.

In the beginning of 2021, Iranian Government resumed their uranium enrichment of 20% share from total at Fordow plant, which is another nuclear block. The circumstances indulging Iran for rapid nuclear development were started after United States’ withdrawal from JCPOA also known as Iran’s Nuclear deal. On May 8, 2018 United States under Trump’s administration ended their role in Iran Nuclear Deal to kick off the series of sanctions against Iran which were ought to be ceased during US’s presence in Nuclear deal.

On Oct 19, 2020, Iran’s government released a controversial statement of exporting more arms than buying after the embargo lifted on Iran. In the same year, Iran started moving their clusters of advanced models of centrifuges at Natanz plant from above ground to underground FEP which is already enriching uranium with IR-2M centrifuges.
