IED Blast Near Israel Embassy
A low intensity IED blast happened in APJ Abdul Kalam Road, New Delhi near Israel Embassy at about 5.00pm on Friday. The blast didn’t cause any bodily injuries to anyone. It damaged some wind screens of parked vehicles. The timing of the blast is quite important as it happened during that time when annual Beating Retreat was happening at Vijay Chowk. Also the two countries are celebrating 29 years of full diplomatic relations.
Some sources say that the device was placed in a flower pot which was thrown from a moving vehicle behind the bushes. It was possibly attached to a timer. The forensic team have reached the spot for further enquiry.
