Tejas equipped No. 45 squadron receives President’s Colours
The Indian Air Force witnessed a momentous occasion as the Tejas-equipped No. 45 Squadron, alongside No. 221 Squadron ‘Valiants’, 11 Base Repair Depot and 509 Signal Unit, were conferred with prestigious recognitions.
No. 45 “Flying Daggers” based out of Sulur Airforce Station has been leading the operationalization of Tejas fighter jets in the Indian Airforce. This squadron is training manpower for further Tejas inductions as well as participate in exercises and air shows around the world.
No. 221 “Valiants” are equipped with Su-30MKI fighter jets while 509 signal unit is the IACCS node in East for IAF. 11 BRD is the center of all repair and overhaul activities on fighter jets of IAF. Currently it is working on Mig-29UPG and Su-30MKI.
